[Electro House] OWSLA Special Ft: Zedd | R3hab | Tommy Trash | Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike

Huge congratulations go out to @Rivaadara on winning not ONE… but TWO tickets to see Skrillex and friends LIVE at Koolhaus on October 15th, 2011. We simply ask that you please respond to our message before Friday 11:59PM to receive the details as to how you will acquire the tickets from us. We appreciate everyones support and it saddens us that we could not give tickets to all of our Tenants. Stay tuned for loads of more Contests that will be taking place in the future (Hint: …Adagio). Lets move right into today’s Listing!

We’ve got 5 [Electro House] dynamites for all you Tenants today! 1) Starting off with Zedd’s recently released “Shave It” off of OWSLA. The 22-year old German producer has proven that a hard-beat and affectionate melodic breakdown is all it takes to launch yourself straight to [Electronic] music dominance! Don’t be thrown off by the extended intro, as the song is WELL worth the wait once that gritty bass and euphoric synths hit! 2) [Dutch House] king R3hab makes his return this time with an [Electro House] remix to Jennifer Lopez’s latest single “Papi”. All of us here at Electric Basement have fallen in love with the R3hab sound that is the HUGE synths accompanied by the SWEEPING bass line that our good friend has become so well known for. He’s not one of the most requested Producers of 2011 for no reason. 3) Highly underrated [Electro House] artists Spencer & Hill are kind enough to grace us with their latest single, “Believe It”, accompanied by the stunning vocals of Nadia Ali. The vocals and chord progressions will have you hooked to this track for hours on end! 4) My ALL TIME personal favourite DJ’s Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike just released, “Stomp” last weekend off of the acclaimed Dim Mak Record alongside such names as Autoerotique, Zedd, and Bloody Beetroots. The track itself is unique in it’s own right with it’s “Dutch-like” buildups and heavy one-note drop. Simple yet effective. 5) The name Tommy Trash has been popping up left right and centre and it’s about time somebody put their foot down and asked… Who the HELL is this guy!? Well according to DJMag, he’s considered the “Breakthrough Artist of 2010” by Tiesto. That’s gotta mean something for the Aussie right? He’s been pushing out single after single all summer and has already established his own signature “Gypsy-like” sound in all his tracks and buildups. Expect big things from this artist in the near future!

Again, allow us (Electric Basement) to apologize for our unwarranted delayed postings. We promise it’ll only get better from here Tenants. Our [Dubstep] post will be coming up sometime later tonight, but for now enjoy the [Electro House] tracks. As always, keep that [HOUSE] rocking!

[Progressive House] HOLY SH*T It’s John Dahlbäck | Mysto & Pizzi | Alesso | Laidback Luke

This Monday, us Landlords feel that in light of the missed [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] post last week, its time to make up for that with an equally awesome [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] post for today’s Miscellaneous Mondays! Big releases this week to start up the month of October with very warm tracks from some of the biggest rising [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] producers of 2011. 1) Swedish [HOUSE] producer John Dahlback is killing it with a huge collaboration with Henrik B released back in July. “Senses” is more than just a “Hands-in-the-Air” track, with it’s Big-Room synths, and Trim Acid Goodness! Amazing productions from the pair and definitely worth a listen. 2) Yiruma’s 2001 original, “River Flows in You” gets a dizzying refix from the Swedish powerhouse that is Alesso. Exploding out of Sweden’s massive [HOUSE] scene last year with the three track EP on Joia, Alesso has come to gracefully outshine highly rated [HOUSE] icon’s in a bare year with his distinguished high-energy productions. I digress though. PREVIEW this banger! 3) Attention Tenants! Please give a warm welcome to the talented and beautiful Swedish [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] act that is Dinka (AKA Tamara Maria & Christian Hirt). The Queen of [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] released this single off of her best-selling album titled Tales of the Sun back in July. Packed with dangerously addicting vocals, and a progressive deep [HOUSE] sound, who says Euphoria can’t be a way of living? I say NAY to those that do! 4) Our next track is a DANCE-FLOOR ANNIHILATOR. The pair of producers Mysto & Pizzi have remixed yet another Summer Anthem, “Sunlight”. Originally produced by DJ Antoine featuring the soothing voice of Tom Dice, this refix maintains much of the melodic progression from the original, topped with a sun-splashed piano sound and catchy refrain similar to that of an Avicii production. 5) No other producer I know is as talented or capable as Laidback Luke when it comes to pushing out remixes. Back again with yet another banger of a remix, Patric La Funks original, “Time and Time Again” gets a nice “Trance 2.0” refix with it’s captivating vocals and uplifting synths. I know who has MY #1 vote for the Top100 DJs of 2011! Don’t forget that the rankings WILL be announced sometime with the next few weeks. Exciting stuff 6) And last, but never the least [as a bonus], we’ve decided to throw up a track from one of Electric Basement’s favourite [PROGRESSIVE HOUSE] producers, Thomas Gold. Originally one of his most successful tracks produced back in 2010, Thomas Gold has re-released a rework of his hit single, “Marsch Marsch”. Synth Chords that reverberate throughout coupled with an aptly huge big-room drop of epic proportions have made this rework one of the most anticipated tracks of this frigid month of October! Enjoy the tracks we’ve posted Tenants! Keep that [HOUSE] rocking all night!

[Electro House] Wolfgang Gartner | Tiesto | Dada Life | Tommy Trash | GooseFlesh

Boy are we late with this album, but as I always say, “Better Late than NEVER!”. Wolfgang Gartner (AKA, Joey Youngman) dropped his bombshell of an album Weekend in America about a week ago. A HUGE production from a firm favourite of ours here at Electric Basement. 1) We’ll be posting two tracks from the album for our Tenants to preview, first of which will be, “The Way it Was”. A high Energy track with an extremely uplifting buildup, followed by ANOTHER buildup of epic proportions. Very Wolfgang Gartner-like. 2) Despite the major collaborations with [HIP-HOP] artists, Wolfgang Gartner’s massive sound is still the dominant driving force on this album, especially in his track titled, “The Champ”. Very fitting title, considering this Album (and song) may very well shoot the American producer to a comfortable #1 position on the Beatport [ELECTRO HOUSE] charts. This track gave off a very “Feed Me” like sound. Very enjoyable and definitely worth a listen (…or two) 3) Tiesto, you have done an amazing job showing the true colours of your versatility. It never ceases to amaze me how great of a producer this man is with his latest remix of Joker’s single, “Slaughter House”. Tiesto’s remix incorporates a bass kick with extremely addicting vocals, managing to bring this song to life with his signature sounds and vibes. 4) Say HELLO to my lil friend, DJ and Australian-based Producer Tommy Trash. The man gives, “Falling Out of Love” by EDX and Sarah McLeod a ride in his handy “Kangaroo Pouch”, slapping on some of that Australian dirt, and essentially revamping the Progressive original into a much Grittier, Electro-House beat. The track is a definite must have for anyone looking for a quick Pick-Me Up. 5) Dada Life pretty much devoured David Guetta’s single of ALL and ANY of it’s “Mainstream” vibe and shit out the glory that is their remix to, “Little Bad Girl” (Guerilla Fart #13). The Swedish duo is back to expand their already HUGE remix Discography with this killer edit of the commercialized yet catchy original. 6) Every now and then, us Landlords at Electric Basement find a new Listing and like to show it off to the world. It’s with great pleasure, that we’d love to introduce you to GooseFlesh and his single “Combo Fix”. This song wastes very little time with its Melodic Arpeggios and full force Electro Synths. This beat will have you hip thrusting in your chair TILL YOU DIE. Definite banger for all your [ELECTRO HOUSE] junk-heads. Enjoy the [ELECTRO HOUSE] post, and keep that [HOUSE] rocking!
